Native to India and Sri Lanka, the Chital Deer (Axis axis) has beautiful white spots and slender, coffee coloured antlers. This elegant deer's population has exploded in Australia, with no large mammalian predators to keep their numbers in check. In their native range they are the main food source of the Bengal Tiger.
Each specimen has been foraged in nature, as deer shed their antlers annually. As these are natural they exhibit flaws like scratches and chips. Each piece is meticulously cleaned and refurbished with a light wax to ensure exceptional colour and longevity.
